Instapaper

Instapaper was founded in January, 2008 and became an instant hit for its simple, one-field registration form. When the App Store for the iPhone launched in July, 2008, the official Instapaper app was critically acclaimed and doubled Instapaper's userbase in its first month. In April 2010, the Instapaper app for iPad was available from the iPad's launch day and has been incredibly popular since. Instapaper currently has approximately 2 million registered user accounts. Instapaper, LLC is entirely self-funded by Marco Arment, is profitable, and has not taken any outside investment.
