Intellimar recognized a market need for a sales representation firm that specialized solely on physical security products. Products included, but were not limited to, specialty door systems, guard booths, and barrier systems. The company developed new sales models that included innovations in distribution and a focus on product approval at the federal level. Within a short period of time the Technical Representation Division was the number one sales organization for most of the manufacturing clients it served. Today, this division still actively markets and sells product for a variety of manufacturers in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. 12/2001 - GovSupply division formed as GSA Contract GS-07F-0100M was awarded to Intellimar, Inc. Intellimar anticipated new market opportunities (prior to 9/11) for a single-source security contractor/integrator whose principle function was to integrate emerging technologies such as blast/glass hazard mitigation and perimeter security for federal customers. In mid 2001 it prepared to launch a new division, GovSupply (www.govsupply.com), to serve the federal market. GovSupply currently holds the single largest GSA federal supply schedule (34,000+ products/services) dedicated to supporting the physical security needs of federal customers by protecting federal facilities and their occupants against terrorist attacks. Today, GovSupply serves federal and commercial customers both domestically and abroad. The company continues to innovate with new product and service offerings.
