Garden

For those of us at Garden in the Koop, the garden is a metaphor for something "bigger than us. Growing our food, saving our seeds, understanding the importance of teaching our children how to garden; it's all part of this "bigger than us" story. We understand that how we garden and what we teach our children about the garden is a metaphor for how we live and how we teach our children to live. In some parts of the world people are starving for the lack of a garden and the resources to have these gardens, while in other parts people have abandoned their gardens for the "super size me" garden of McDonalds. For all of us there is a need to return to the healing Garden.
