Ironclad Excavating Inc., a family owned and operated construction company, originally started out as Geiger Developing in April of 1978. Over the years the scope of our work had included the smallest of jobs such as farm ponds, grading of drives to total site preparation for small and large construction sites, building dual lane highways, airport runways to installing underground utilities for municipalities. Some well-known jobs that we have managed and completed are: Jefferson Pointe Shopping Mall U.S. 24 Hoosier Heartland Corridor Widening of the Maumee River Walmart Stores Applebee's Restaurants Site for numerous School Corporations Indianapolis Int. Airport Runway Expansion 3 Mile stretch of I-469 Bypass Numerous Housing Developments Numerous State Projects Bryan and Van Wert, Ohio Hospitals St Joe & Lutheran Hospitals and Heart Center, Fort Wayne, IN Costco in Fort Wayne, IN Two-EE's Winery Between the years of 1990-1996, the company moved on average one million yards of dirt, along with winning the National Excellence in Construction Award from The Associated Builders and Contractors in 1993 for the Widening of the Maumee River Project. Ironclad Excavating currently employs approximately 40 employees, many who have been with us from the beginning of our start up and into the early 1980's. Not only does this add to our family owned atmosphere, but also contributes to us a workforce with many years of experience and expertise in our field. One of our goals is to do quality work for a fair price using the latest technologies available to our field. Additionally, we have in mind to be honest to our customers, have employees that are clean cut, professional, and not use language that would be offensive. Professionalism is a mark that we want to leave with our customers. Completing a job on time and using innovative ideas to complete a job are ways we use to demonstrate this. We have a basic philosophy that no one stands alone. We are all a team and we work and network as a team.
