Intergrated Security Manufacturing (ISM), a leader in the design, development and manufacture of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) technology, is enhancing its international standing with the appointment of Petri Hitches as Business Development Manager. Having started his career at Takex, the manufacturer of industrial sensors, in 1999 Petri spent 14 years with OPTEX, focussing primarily on exports to Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) - spending two years in Japan, four years in France and one year in Warsaw, Poland. Petri will be specifically tasked with the development of security products in the critical infrastructure sector, using his experience to create bespoke specifications that are appropriate for different export markets. "The move to ISM enables me to work closer with Internet Protocol (IP) based security systems, rather than analogue," Petri says, "and by dealing directly with the end-user of security systems, rather than with distributors, integrators and installers, I can work more closely to the hub of the industry." Stephen Smith, Managing Director at ISM, says bringing in experienced professionals enables ISM to constantly deliver on innovation: "Petri's experience of international markets working with world-leading manufacturers will be of significant benefit as we look to expand our international presence," he says.
