Founded in 1964, we are the oldest and largest (asset size) community foundation in Florida, serving the citizens of Jacksonville and surrounding Northeast Florida. Today, The Community Foundation is home to more than 500 individual funds, holds more than $450 million in assets and has made more than $500 million in grants since inception. Through our work and the work of our donors, we make a difference in the lives of people in Duval, Clay, Baker, St. Johns, Nassau and Putnam counties every day. We benefit nonprofit organizations through the charitable gifts and grants made through the Foundation. We benefit our community leaders by sharing our knowledge, resources, research and ideas. And we benefit our donors by helping them develop a broader understanding of philanthropic opportunities.
