JGU is one of several institutions identified by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for carrying out work in 10 villages under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) - an Indian Government-led initiative to involve the higher educational institutions in the country in the process of indigenous development of self-sufficient and sustainable village clusters. As part of the implementation process, several Subject Expert Groups have been constituted. The UGC has been identified as a Subject Expert Group on Curricular Reforms and Educational Institutions Social Responsibility under UBA. JGU Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar has been elected as a Subject Expert for Curricular Reforms and Educational Institutions Social Responsibility as part of this implementation process. Ajay Kumar Pandey, Associate Professor and Executive Director (Clinical Programmes), Jindal Global Law School and Sushant Chandra, Assistant Professor and Assistant Director, Clinical Programmes, Jindal Global Law School are leading the UBA initiative at JGU.
