The Jordans & Ryvita
This single minded approach to nutrition and our tasty cereals has never changed and remains in everything we do. First, we take British wholegrain oats, barley and wheat which are the base of all Jordans products; then we add a generous helping of scrumptious fruits, crunchy nuts and seeds to make delicious tasting cereals which are rich in nutrients and all round natural goodness. Thanks to our naturally nutritious ingredients all our tasty cereals are a source of fibre, plus have essential vitamins and minerals we all need as part of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. We don't fortify or add anything artificial, and we strive to keep in as much of the goodness from our wholegrain oats, fruits and nuts as we possibly can in our recipes. It's all about balance and it's our job to get the recipes just right so every bowlful is both delicious and nutritious. Given that dried fruits contain naturally occurring sugars; and oats, nuts and seeds all contain naturally occurring oils, our products will never be entirely sugar or fat free, but we aim to create great tasting food which at the same time offers holistic nutritional benefits. With over 40 years of expertise we are committed to continually exploring new ways to make nutritious cereal without compromising on the delicious taste or quality of each bowlful. For example, did you know: We don't add salt to any Jordans products, and never will do. The British wholegrain oats in our granola help to lower cholesterol*. We have been busy this year making some changes to our baked recipes to gradually reduce added sugar levels whilst still meeting our high taste and quality standards; as a result, so far, total sugars have been reduced on average by 10%. It's simple really; nutrition for us is about balance and celebrating the naturally nutritious ingredients like whole grains, dried fruits, nuts and seeds which help to make each scrumptious spoonful of Jordans brilliant. *The inclusion of oats as part of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle can help reduce cholesterol levels. Each 45g serving provides 1g of beta-glucan soluble fibre, one third of the suggested daily intake of 3g. High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease. Coronary heart disease has multiple risk factors and altering one of these risk factors may or may not have a beneficial effect. Jordans Cereals Ingredients
