JRG Reinsurance Company LTD. is a subsidiary of Franklin Holdings located in Hamilton, Bermuda. The reinsurance company enables Franklin Holdings to retain more of the risk currently underwritten by the US subsidiaries and diversify its portfolio in pursuit of third party reinsurance business. JRG Re's strategy is based upon the same core principles of our US Operating businesses, including: An unrelenting focus on underwriting profit Using technology to effectively collect and use high quality data to enhance risk selection and risk management Operating at a highly competitive expense advantage Maintaining a strong balance sheet and Actively managing our capital JRG Re is focused on underwriting property and casualty reinsurance for small to medium sized specialty companies, specialty divisions of larger companies, and regional carriers with defined competitive advantages and consistent results. The portfolio will be heavily weighted toward short to intermediate tail casualty lines. JRG Re targets working layer business and does not entertain catastrophe exposures. Initially, the client base will consist of insurance companies writing business in the United States.
