Jules Energy

Jules Energy originates from the Netherlands. Over the last 8 years, we have been actively involved with the design, development, introduction and marketing of trading and procurement platforms for embedded power generators. There are currently 5 platforms operational in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, the use of trading platforms is widely adopted. For example, in the greenhouse industry, approximately 1,400 sites (85% of all companies) use a trading platform to procure and sell electricity. The UK energy market conditions are similar, if not more beneficial, to conditions in the Netherlands and hence offer great opportunities to users of the platform. In July 2011, Jules Energy launched the first and only Smart Energy Trading Platform in the UK. Aimed at the embedded generation sector, we offer significantly increased trading revenues for owners of embedded generation. The platform allows embedded power generators to benefit from access to wholesale market based pricing and products, thus providing significantly better returns than the currently available power export contracts.
