Julia Pimsleur

Julia Pimsleur is on a mission to help one million women entrepreneurs get to $1M in revenues by 2020. Julia is an author, speaker and coach and the founder of Little Pim, one of the few women-run businesses backed by venture capital in the country. Little Pim is the leading system for introducing young children to a second language and has won 25 awards for its proprietary Entertainment Immersion Method®. Its products are sold in 22 countries. Julia has raised a combined $26 million in non-profit and for-profit dollars. She wrote "Million Dollar Women: The Essential Guide for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Go Big" to help women learn to raise capital and take their businesses further, faster. Women have been starting new companies at twice the rate that men have, and yet most of these businesses stay small (under $200,000 in revenues) in part because they are under-capitalized. Women start their businesses with six times less capital than men do. This needs to change. Julia Pimsleur is addressing the gap in fundraising by educating women on the "how-to's" of raising capital, as well as digging into the inner limiting beliefs that tend to hold women back. Working with corporations, non-profits, and government organizations, she wants to help one million women achieve greater business success and the "Triple Win" of Money, Meaning, and Mobility. After raising millions for her own company, she created her popular fundraising workshops and online fundraising bootcamp to help other women do the same. Pimsleur has blogged about entrepreneurship for Forbes.com since 2012; has been featured on Today, NBC Weekend Today, and Fox News; and her company has been highlighted in Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. Julia is a certified NLP Master Coach Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming), served on the board of the New York chapter of EO (Entrepreneurs Organization) as chair of the Accelerator Program, and won the Smart CEO Brava! Award for women entrepreneurs. Pimsleur speaks French, is an avid scuba diver and lives in New York City. Connect with me on any of the social platforms below or shoot me an email. I love hearing from other women entrepreneurs and people who share my mission, whether they are investors, media, educators, conference organizers, or none of the above!
