Marta is the president and co-founder of Kaccelerator, a next generation thematic investing fund focused on disrupting innovations that are changing the world for the better and have long-term growth potential. She is a health activist, social business advocate, entrepreneur and startup investor with 15+ years of experience working in Sales &a; Marketing. She is known to be a proactive, passionate and creative thinker with an ability to detect new products and emerging markets which has led her to travel the world in search of new business opportunities. Marta began her professional career working at IBM in the Software Marketing department in Madrid, Spain. Shortly after, she became the leading founder of wearetrade.com which provides support for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in their expansion into South America and Europe. During this time, she successfully orchestrated a large network of subcontractors in China, Vietnam, Switzerland, Spain, Chile and Peru. Marta also founded updeluxe.com, a consulting company that specializes in giving support and valuable advice to a wide range of companies but primarily to those focused on luxury and premium markets. Advice includes methods on how to best raise brand awareness by using Trading-up strategies to get more exposure and consequently, improve profit margins. Her years of experience working with and managing multidisciplinary teams from around the world, as well as her complete understanding of financial markets, has led Marta to become a strong supporter of an environmentally conscious model of investing. This resulted in the co-founding of the Kaccelerator Innovation &a; Impact Fund where she is currently developing new investment strategies and building portfolios that cover a broad array of asset classes in well-established companies and startups focused on Green technologies.
