Kapdaa
KAPDAA, meaning 'cloth' in Hindi, has been a family run business in India since 1977, creating one-of-a-kind dresses and garments with founder Ms Trupti Marfatia using exclusive designs and expert craftsmanship (www.kapdaa.co.in). The son, Nishant Parekh, decided to take the ethos of never repeating a design and moved to London to start using offcuts to create bespoke stationery with the same exclusive fabrics. Offcuts are what's left after fabric for a particular design has been cut. This is how KAPDAA - The Offcut Company was born. KAPDAA works with mills, designers and upholsterers, using creative expertise to examine how and where materials are wasted. Our design process also takes inspiration from the client's designs and brand to influence the look and feel of the notebooks, making each notebook unique to you, while providing a valuable public relations tool to help promote your brand. We also work closely with the Centre for Sustainable Fashion to look into new ways of managing and reducing waste creatively.
