KARIN'S FLORIST

Karin's Florist was established on October 26, 1956, at 7 Corners Shopping Center, by Bill Dukas and his father-in-law, George Raptis. It was one of the original stores in 7 Corners Mall, which was one of the first regional shopping malls in the U.S. Named after Bill's first born child and George's first grandchild, the business opened with only 4 employees, George & Mary Raptis, Bill Dukas and 1 driver. Karin's continued to grow over the years, still preserving its family atmosphere. In 1995, after 38 years, Karin's relocated to its present location in Vienna, Virginia. At this point, Bill's daughter, Maris Angolia, joined the business and now serves as its President and CEO. Today, Karin's has over 25 in-store employees and 6 drivers. The physical size of the store has more than doubled, profits have increased steadily but most importantly, customer service is still #1. We are the proud recipients of the several awards, including 2012 Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Award for small business, 2013 Best of Fairfax and in 2013, Steve Harvey named us Best Florist in America. We attribute that success to the uniqueness of the store, our personnel and our loyal customers. We achieve this by relying on top designers and delivery people and top quality flowers and gifts. Our professional designers can take a customer's vision and make it come to life. We have a great team, always striving to make sure that we not only meet but exceed our customer's expectations. A lot has changed through the years, but one thing has remained the same: Karin's has kept its roots in Fairfax County, proudly serving the neighborhood it holds dear.
