KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK will be the biggest Dense Soda Ash and Sodium Bicarbonate factory in Europe. Located in the north-west of Ankara KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK plant consists of three sub-units: mining, process, and cogeneration power plant. The investment budget of the project is 1.5 Billion USD. In the KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK Process Plant, 2.5 million tons of Dense Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) and 200,000 tons of Sodium Bicarbonate will annually be produced. Dense Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) and Sodium Bicarbonate products which are used in a wide range of industries, from glass production to baking powder, will be exported to many regions in the world, majority being the European Countries. Thus, KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK will contribute to Turkey's economy by bringing insubstantial export revenue. KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK will be a production plant that will follow the sectorial developments closely and adopt contemporary environmental and sustainable policies in mining, energy, and waste management. Further to that, about 1,000 people will be provided with employment opportunities directly and about 2,000 people will be provided with job opportunities indirectly at KAZAN SODA ELEKTRK plant.
