KDR Supply

KDR Supply was founded in 1981 by Edwin (Ed) M. Fisher to support the local oilfield service industry. Starting out, KDR supplied such things as swab cups to the swab trucks as well as other items to the work-over rigs operating in the Liberty area. Successful, Ed worked the business part time for the first few years with the hopes of eventually retiring from his full time job at Southland Paper Co. and spending more time in building KDR. d realized this dream in 1988 when he retired from St Regis Paper Company (formerly Southland Paper) and began concentrating on KDR Supply full time. As the business grew, Ed realized that working alone and from his garage was hindering KDR's growth. At his behest, Ed's youngest son, Rocky, joined the company in early 1991. In late 1991, Ed decided that he wanted to retire from working and proposed that Rocky take over the company. In 1992, Rocky purchased KDR Supply from his father. Concentrating on growth and service, Rocky moved the business from the cramped garage to a new facility located at 102 Oklahoma Street in southwest Liberty. It was this move that helped KDR expand their product offering to include products used in the exploration and production of oil. In early 1993, Rocky's brother, Danny Fisher, joined the firm as an equal partner, and the firm incorporated in 1994. It was at this time that KDR opened its first pump shop to repair and maintain pumps that bring oil to the surface. KDR still offers this service to handle the demands of oil field exploration and down-hole pumps. After five years of double-digit growth, the two brothers decided to open another branch to meet customer demand and to expand their market. In 1999, KDR Supply opened their first branch in Jasper, Texas. This addition was met with great success and KDR Supply continued their growth trend with the locations in Liberty and Jasper. Outgrowing the Oklahoma Street facility, KDR decided that a larger facility was needed that would provide additional space. In 2000, KDR Supply moved to 3112 Beaumont Avenue in Liberty. This new facility provided KDR with more room for stocking pipe as well as providing buildings for the pump shop and a larger inventory to support the oilfield and industrial markets. Following the needs of the oil industry, KDR expanded again in 2002 with a third branch located in Beaumont, Texas. This consistent growth, however, put a strain on the Liberty warehouse. The demand had outgrown the facilities. To answer this, the Liberty warehouse was renovated and now boasts 14,000 square feet of warehouse space on 2.5 acres. he Beaumont facility, also, outgrew its space within just a few years. It, also, was renovated in 2005 and now brags a state-of-the-art facility with 7,200 square feet of warehouse, with a showroom, and an impressive 24,000 square feet of yard storage. Continuing the commitment to customer service, 2005 saw the addition of KDR Supply's fourth branch warehouse. Located in El Campo, TX, the branch is equipped with 8,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space with an additional 8,000 square feet of yard space. Growth and expansion continued in 2006 when KDR's fifth branch was opened in Buffalo, Texas. A few months later a Longview, Texas branch was also opened. These branches opened new markets that KDR had yet serviced until then. The Buffalo branch has a 3,000 sq ft warehouse and showroom with a 20,000 sq ft pipe yard and Longview has a 10,000 sq ft showroom and warehouse with a 20,000 sq ft pipe yard. Additional new markets were addressed as KDR expanded in 2010 by adding two more branches - Keithville, Louisiana (10,000 sq ft warehouse and showroom; 20,000 sq ft pipe yard) and Center, Texas (8,000 sq ft warehouse and showroom; 8,000 pipe yard). nd 2011 saw the opening of KDR's eighth branch warehouse in Madisonville, Texas featuring 5,700 square feet of warehouse and showroom space and a 20,000 square foot pipe yard. Since its inception, KDR Supply has been committed to meeting the needs of its customers. KDR Supply has a rich history of meeting the demands of the oil industry with superior service, support, and products. We're there when you need us. And we proudly carry on the tradition of customer commitment started with our founder, Ed.
