Kenergia was founded in 2006 by Eng. Giovanni Simoni as an engineering company specialized in the field of photovoltaic power and energy efficiency. Recently the company sold to the German company BayWa Operations Services Group Spa the shares in Kenergia Sviluppo srl. Kenergia today is leading a group of SMEs specialized in different renewable energy sectors: Grid Parity 1; Grid Parity 2 and Raptech. The PV market in Morocco has been tackled by establishing Solar Breeder Morocco sarl; in addition "Energy Technologies Venture-ETV" was created in California to be used as a technological observatory for the entire automation and operational control of the plants.
