KENTCO offers experience in systems engineering and technical assistance and program management assistance in managing technology development and prototype programs, assistance with developing and preparing program plans, work breakdown structures, milestone schedules and costs, and related management functions and procedures including procurement, training and logistics. For the past several years, KENTCO has supported the ONR Joint Countermine Program Office in demonstrating and evaluating novel mine reconnaissance and breaching/clearing systems under operational situations. KENTCO has provided the site coordination support at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and recently at Camp Pendleton, California for the Joint Countermine Advanced Technology Demonstration. Technical and engineering (SE&I) support as well as exercise/demonstration planning and execution support were provided the Joint Program Office for Demonstration I, conducted in North Carolina, Demonstration II in Newfoundland, and in California during Kernel Blitz 99. KENTCO provided planning and coordination support to all aspects of ONR's site support requirements during these exercises. This support included the coordination of detailed operational and logistic support requirements for more 15 Novel Systems and various Integrated Processing Teams, all of which were represented by numerous laboratories, universities and independent contractors. ONR's requirement for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, including the preparation of two Environmental Assessments, was also coordinated by KENTCO personnel. In these endeavors, KENTCO provided substantial input to the operating forces pertaining to the proper planning and employment of those systems. KENTCO personnel have a current and working knowledge of MCM techniques, tactics, and procedures and are especially conversant with MCM matters as they relate to the Amphibious Operation. Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services were provided to JCM ACTD supported programs and systems. These services included integration support of new technologies with legacy systems and programs, support for advanced technology demonstrations and advanced concept technology demonstrations, support of spike offices to support an improved countermine capability, systems transition support to operational forces, and support for planning and building prototype equipment with advanced technology capabilities for demonstration.
