Kervan Gida

Kervan Gida has aimed to become one of the three most important candy companies in the world and in Turkey with its skilled management, innovative research and development work, modern understanding of production, environmental policies and modern communication technologies which suit the current and everchaging consumer demands. Initially producing gum, Kervan Gida increased its scope and began jelly production in 1998. Since 2005, Kervan Gida has been the first to introduce licorice and new types of jelly to Turkey after closely following the international candy industry. In 2007, purchasing the Turkish production and retail rights for the international beverage company Caprisun, Kervan Gida also added beverages to its network of products. Today, with a production facility nearing 36.000 square meters and an annual production of 85.000 tons of jelly, gum and beverages the company is one of the largest producers of food in Turkey. Kervan Gida, with 100 per cent of its stocks in Turkey, is the biggest producer of jelly in Turkey. In order to follow their success in Turkey internationally in 2010 Kervan Gida, was the first and only company to be accepted into Turquality, a government-endorsed branding program. The company continues to work in order to hold a sturdy place within international candy markets with its Bebeto brand. Kervan Gida, on the 10th anniversary of its establishment was named 985th in a list of the biggest Turkish industrial firms by the Istanbul Association of Manufacturers, later being named 616th in 2009 becoming a significant part of the growing Turkish food industry with its strong level production and exportation. The company aims to be in the top 500 firms in 2010 and is taking the necessary steps to do so. Kervan Gida, focusing on consumer health and satisfaction, in order to produce goods that are safe, quality and healthy has established up to standard, necessary facilities which are hygienic. All of these efforts have been documented through international quality and food safety management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, the Certificate of Conformity (BRC) given by the British Retail Syndicate as wellas the American Hygiene Standard (AIB). Furthermore, the legitimacy of the products have been certified with a Legitimacy Certificate. In 2010, Kervan Gida, which only uses real fruit juices so as to keep to its ethics of healthy goods production, started employing natural pigments which are obtained through plants at the same time as nations located in the European Union. With this, becoming the first jelly producer in Turkey to use natural pigments. Currently exporting to 75 countries, Kervan Gida has become one of the most trustworthy producers within international candy markets regarding food safety. Along with Bebeto jelly, Bingbong gum, Nosuga sugar-free gum, and Caprisun fruit drinks Kervan Gida produces private label products for the world's biggest firms. Among its business partners are prominent internation companies such as Wrigleys, Leaf, World Confections, Fritolay, Metro and Carrefour. In addition to its production qualities, Kervan Gida has become a rapidly growing firm within the market of fast consumption products with its domestic and international distribution and sales operations. In affiliation with Kervan Gida, System Marketing conducts domestic operations while Dunya93 conducts international operations. Furthermore, in 2007 including itself in retail sales sector, Kervan Gida brought innovation to the industry with its soft candy franchising system Bebeto Fun Island. Bebeto, with a fresh understanding of retail, spread domestically by establishing corners within organized retail chains and shopping centers and continues to do so internationally as well. Intially commencing in Algeria, Iran and Iraq, Bebeto Fun Island aims to soon conquer Europe.
