Key Murray Law was established in 2014 when the PEI lawyers of Matheson & Murray and Key, McKnight & Maynard joined forces to create a new law partnership. This merger brought together two leading PEI law partnerships with more than sixty years combined experience in providing legal service to clients across Prince Edward Island. With the merger, Key Murray Law became the largest PEI based law firm in the province. The former Matheson & Murray began its practice providing legal services in Charlottetown in 1981. The firm was deservedly proud of its reputation for providing hard work and well-reasoned, logical solutions for its clients. Over the years, Matheson & Murray cemented its place as a well-respected, full service law firm. In particular, the firm developed specific expertise in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defence, real estate, administrative and family law. The former Key, McKnight and Maynard law firm was first established in 1982. The firm provided legal services to clients from its two offices located in Summerside and O'Leary. Key, McKnight and Maynard soon established itself as a reputable full service law firm, with an emphasis on exceptional client service. Through its work, the firm developed a strong reputation for its skills in corporate and commercial law, business law, banking and financial services, real estate and construction law. Key Murray Law is PEI's only Island owned law firm that provides multiple office locations serving all of Prince Edward Island.
