KFA Architects & Planners

Founded in 2006, KFA Architects and Planners Inc. is a full-service interdisciplinary architectural, interior design, and planning firm. The firm's work includes complete architectural services, interior design as well as high-level planning and feasibility studies and the provision of expert testimony at municipal councils, committees of adjustment and the Ontario Municipal Board. Based in Toronto, Canada, KFA sparks innovative concepts through its diverse team whose ages span five decades and who represent eight different countries of origin. With the belief that good design is beneficial to all - clients, users, and the wider community - KFA strives to create ideas and solutions that illuminate the objectives of its clients through a rigorous collaborative process and the use of technology in the design process including 3D printing techniques and visualization using virtual reality. While KFA's main focus is in commercial/residential multi-unit projects, the firm has a broad body of work that ranges from architectural installations (We Are the Bear and GRETA for Nuit Blanche) to large scale master planning design projects such as the Al Khor Waterfront Visioning Competition, Qatar. KFA's awards include a City of Toronto Urban Design Award and a People's Choice 'PUG' award for Printing Factory Lofts (in conjunction with Montgomery Sisam Architects), and Finalists in collaboration with Raya Ani from RAW Design NYC in the 2019 Al Khor Waterfront Competition in Qatar.
