KFL&A Public Health Informatics

We are a multidisciplinary group of professionals with backgrounds ranging from medicine to information technology. Some of us have worked internationally and, while many of us have worked in academia, still others have many years of private sector experience. With these diverse skill sets and professional experiences, KFL&A Public Health Informatics is able to effectively collect, analyze, and translate data into actionable insight and knowledge to support disease surveillance in the region and across Ontario. Dr. Moore is the Medical Officer of Health and CEO of KFL&A Public Health based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is also a Professor of Emergency and Family Medicine at the Queen's University. He received his Medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1985 and subsequently received his specialty certification in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He has a Masters degree in Disaster Medicine as well as Public Health and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. He has completed a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Fellowship in Public Health and Preventive Medicine (PHPM) at Queen's University and is Queen's PHPM Program Director.
