Kids Code Jeunesse
Kids Code Jeunesse provides trained mentors, where possible, to teach children and assist teachers with the basics of computer programming in the classroom. Learning to code builds patience, attention to detail, peer-to-peer learning, as well as planning and presentation skills. We have created a basic curriculum that works in the classroom. It comes with videos, tutorials and class lesson plans, as well as a letter for parents and school technician. Our material is developed by Canadian computer scientists, teachers and education technology specialists and has been tested on hundreds of children. If you have any questions at any time, please contact us ([email protected]) and we'll do our best to support you. Currently, our curriculum compliments the Quebec Education Plan for Grades 3-6, but you can use it for any of your classes. It is free for Canadian residents. Our long term goal is to expand our materials created by teachers, organizations from across the country, to reach grade 1-12 students, and to support teachers. To access our curriculum please contact our Volunteer & Community Manager, Pamela, at [email protected].
