Kingstown celebrates its 40 year anniversary in 2016 and our future vision is to continue to be the leading manufacturer of ready assembled bedroom and lounge furniture, all of which is made in Britain. As Chairman, Mike Sharp had a vision to design, build and distribute furniture with an emphasis placed on innovation, design and value for money. Mike started out by making furniture in his garage for friends and family. Now Kingstown employs over 360 staff based on a 11 acre site in Hull, the 2017 City of Culture. Kingstown has the capacity to supply over 7,000 units per week and all items are made to order by our teams of skilled staff who use the latest in manufacturing technology. We ensure all employees are valued and contribute to the future success of Kingstown. Kingstown invests heavily in its people and prides itself on our local apprenticeship scheme where we work with local colleges to further develop the careers of the younger people of Hull. We also use a range of technologies from around the world to manufacture our furniture. We pride ourselves on delivering a personalised, customised service to each of our customers. This is epitomised in our Direct Home Delivery Service that sees our furniture delivered to a room of your choice, assembled and all packaging taken away.
