Kite Griffin Services
Kite Griffin evolved from a small Berkshire firm founded in the 19th century and now amalgamated into a leading and reputable practice in Reading. A branch office was established in 1970 to serve the local community in Bracknell, mainly for private client and legal aid work. At that time, there was a thriving criminal element, giving rise to many hours of weekly advocacy in the Magistrates Court. The Bracknell Development Corporation had, by then, established the New Town, having successfully attracted big business to the area to provide new employment opportunities for the influx of relocating Londoners. Its housing stock was gradually sold into private ownership, and substantial additional residential redevelopment also took place. The predicted size and wealth of Bracknell enjoyed several upgrades and the currently defined Bracknell Forest Borough is four or five times more populous than originally intended for the New Town itself. The early changes brought a plethora of opportunities for the branch office, which broke free of its Reading parent in 1972 and has since remained an independent firm. Periods of expansion and consolidation have ensued, with alterations to the nature and balance of services provided, in order to meet new demands. Many of the firm's business and private clientele have remained loyal to the practice over the years, often after moving away from the area. Kite Griffin has thus gradually developed a strong client following, which is approximately equally divided between business and individuals. An unusually broad mix of work has, over time, given rise to an exceptionally comprehensive range of services, always undertaken with appropriate care and expertise.
