Kittitian Hill

Kittitian Hill is a milestone sustainable resort, with a uniquely creative edge. It is rooted in the principle that the long-term sustainable development of a region is the responsibility of its people. New business models must be created, based on a win-win approach to development. Whilst commercially successful, the current resort models in the Caribbean do not address many of the area's real regional and human development requirements. In its current form, tourism has a significant adverse impact, not only on the local ecology and economy, but also on the social and cultural fabric of the region's small island-states. As the tourism and hospitality sector expands in the region, it is imperative that these critical requirements be addressed in a holistic and sustainable manner. Based on this, there are four key aspects upon which the Kittitian Hill sustainable development programme is founded: Culture, Society, Economy and Ecology.
