KOAA-TV, Channel 5, has served southern Colorado as an NBC affiliate since 1953. Celebrating 60 years on the air, the station serves a large geographical area from Monument, Colorado to northern New Mexico and from the Front Range of the Rockies east to the Kansas border. This area includes the metropolitan areas of Colorado Springs and Pueblo. KOAA has been home to the highest-rated newscast for the past decade - in the morning, noon, early and late evening. News 5 at 10p.m. is consistently the single most-watched newscast in the market. News 5 Now is the station's 24/7 local news and weather channel. It is carried on Comcast channel 9 in Colorado Springs and channel 247 in Pueblo. Also carried over the air on broadcast 5.2, Centurylink and on Bresnan, TVision and Baja cable systems.
