KRISTAL-Astro provides digital DirectToHome (DTH) satellite television, providing over 100 channels of digital quality satellite television, radio programs and other interactive services. KRISTAL Astro launched the first High Definition (HD) broadcast in Brunei in June 2010 under the brand Astro B.yond. Following the launch of HD, Astro B.yond PVR (Personal Video Recorder) was introduced early 2011. There are currently 22 HD channels being offered to Brunei subscribers. KRISTAL Astro subscribers also have access to payperview services, as well as a wide range of interactive services. KRISTAL Astro subscribers can access Astro First, a first of its kind movieondemand service. KRISTAL Astro customers will be able to watch the latest cinema titles within two weeks after the cinema release, in the comfort of their homes at an affordable price. They can tune to Channel 480 to purchase these movie. With Astro Best launched in August 2012, customers can now watch Hollywood and Asian titles as early as three months after the movies' cinema release and where available in stunning High Definition in the comfort of their homes by tuning to Channel 481, available for 48 hours after purchase.
