Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates
Roche Dinkeloo is a direct outgrowth of Eero Saarinen and Associates, which was established in 1950. After Saarinen's passing in 1961, the practice was subsequently taken over by Kevin Roche and John Dinkeloo. Together they worked to complete the remaining design on Saarinen's major projects including the Dulles International Airport, the St. Louis Gateway Arch, the TWA Flight Center at New York's JFK Airport and the CBS Headquarters in New York. Founded in 1966, Roche Dinkeloo has engaged in major projects throughout the United States, Europe and Asia and provided complete master planning, architectural design, interior design, and construction administration services. Roche Dinkeloo has designed a variety of institutional and corporate projects including 38 corporate headquarters, eight museums, numerous research facilities, theaters, schools, factories, performing arts centers, hotels and private residences, including the Ford Foundation and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, both in New York City. The office is a recipient of the AIA Firm Award, which is the highest honor bestowed on an architecture firm by the American Institute of Architects. In 1982, Kevin Roche was the recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and this past year was the subject of the documentary film, Kevin Roche: The Quiet Architect.
