KRS Releasing Limited was formed in 1946 under its original name of Malta United Film Corporation which name was changed to KRS Film Distributors in 1965. Throughout its years of operation, the Company has endeavoured to sustain a regular flow of varied high quality product from many countries for exhibition in local cinemas. Presently KRS services 7 cinema complexes with a total of 31 screens and its primary objective is to motivate local picturegoers to more cinema visits by presenting the best available international film productions. KRS in collaboration with cinema exhibitors organizes various film activities which include a National Cinema Day and two Children Cinema Days. KRS releases no fewer than 160 films a year for local cinema exhibition and in this regard it is greatly supported by the following film suppliers: ? Warner Bros. Entertainment UK Ltd ?
