Kansas Family Partnership, Inc., (KFP) is a highly-respected, non-profit, private agency that has been providing research-based drug and alcohol prevention resources and training opportunities for individuals, organizations and policy-makers throughout Kansas for over a decade. KFP is part of a statewide prevention infrastructure that includes state and local entities such as the Kansas Regional Prevention Centers that serve all 105 counties in the state, community coalitions and grassroots organizations, law enforcement, and the Kansas Army National Guard Drug Demand Reduction Unit. In addition, KFP is a member of many national organizations and professional associations in the prevention community. Kansas Family Partnership grew out of a statewide initiative adopted in 1991 known as the Kansas Family Initiative. In 1995, the Kansas Family Initiative became Kansas Family Partnership, Inc., and was established as a not-for-profit organization. KFP services and programs include: A prevention newsletter printed 3 times per year that is distributed statewide to over 7,000 readers and sent to more than 150 subscribers electronically; A vast website that provides instant access to valuable prevention information, training and resources; A monthly e-newsletter for community coalitions and others interested in prevention information throughout the state; RADAR (Regional Alcohol and Drug Awareness Resources) - providing free prevention printed and audio/visual materials to individuals and organizations in Kansas; Family Day-A day to eat dinner with your children (TM), a nationwide substance abuse prevention awareness campaign implemented statewide; Kansas Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free Initiative; Kansas Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Campaign; Kansas SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions); Kansas Youth Leadership Summit (KYLS/TABS) - a youth training annually to provide information regarding seat belt safety and to promote against underage drinking (The Summit is funded by the Kansas Department of ...
