Kustbevakningen

The Swedish Coast Guard supervises, rescues and provides assistance at sea, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year along the entire Swedish coastline. It is a civilian government agency under the authority of the Ministry of Justice. The overall aims of the Coast Guard are decided by the Swedish Riksdag while the government makes decisions on more detailed aspects.
