Scott Humphrey is the News and Sports Director for 105.7 KVAY. Scott comes to 105.7 KVAY from Crossville, Tennessee where he served as news director/disc jockey for 105.7 The Hog Classic Hits and sports play by play for Stone Memorial High School and Cumberland County High School football and basketball. Scott has a total of 5.5 years in as a journalist and he was mentored in reporting by his uncle, Jay Barbree, who worked for NBC News for over 50 years covering every manned space mission from the very first one until the last space shuttle mission when he retired. Scott's reporting has been honored by the U.S. Army, the Tennessee Journalism Association, St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis and various cities in Tennessee. Scott is also trained in severe weather and is a active storm spotter in southeast Colorado. Prior to radio, Scott has business ownership and management experience and also lived his childhood dream of being a pro wrestler having wrestled for 10 years all across the nation. Scott is originally from Albany, Georgia. He is married to his wife Teresa and together they have seven children and 7 grandchildren. Scott's favorites include Atlanta Braves baseball, Florida State Seminoles football and enjoying great books and movies on his spare time.
