Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts
Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts is committed to strengthening the communities where it does business by partnering with local nonprofit organizations, community establishments and community leaders who share the same vision and passion for making a difference. We believe strong communities are vital to the well-being of our society and feel we have a special responsibility as a good corporate citizen. Our mission is to give back by supporting local charitable programs that help others in their time of need, providing volunteer opportunities for our associates to improve the community, and initiating programs and activities to allow guests to learn about and enjoy the culture in each community. Each year Kyo-ya donates about $260,000 in cash to benefit local nonprofit organizations and approximately $500,000 in hotel room and dining certificates. A dedicated Donations Committee coordinates the charitable donation efforts of Kyo-ya's Waikiki properties, ensuring that the contributions achieve maximum impact and reach as many worthy organizations as possible. With more than 159,000 square feet of meeting space at its six prestigious properties, Kyo-ya is also able to provide local community organizations with access to function spaces at no-cost to host their fundraising events, allowing these groups to spend their money where it is needed most. Check out some of the ways in which Kyo-ya has benefited local community organizations.
