Lagardere SCA is a France-based company principally engaged in the publishing sector. The Company operates through four business segments: Lagardere Publishing, a trade-book publisher for the general public and educational markets, composed of brands such as Grasset, Larousse and Hatier; Lagardere Active, which specializes in the production and aggregation of multimedia content in France and internationally; Lagardere Services, which is involved in the distribution of newspapers under such brand names as Relay and Inmedio, as well as services for travelers and others, and Lagardere Sports, which specializes in the development of sports-related television and media rights and marketing, via sponsorship and hospitality activities, among others. Lagardere SCA is also active in other segments, such as the aeronautics and defense sector, via EADS NV.
