La Salle Trendi proved they&s;re the team to beat this season as they produced an excellent comeback in the second half to obtain their 2nd honour of this season. The match was off to quite a nervous start as referees issued 3 yellow cards in the first 5 minutes. Aloysians combined well in attack where Philip Mifsud was the most threatening player. With both goalkeepers providing great saves on the day, Andrew Mifsud&s;s saves proved to be more crucial as a 7m save and two other attempts by Orlando Bonnici were brilliantly blocked. Aloysians&s; 3-2-1 defence was also on its toes in the first half and conceded very little space to La Salle&s;s attacks. The second half saw a rejuvenated La Salle side whose intentions were clearly seen in the initial stages. Having Andrew Said, Christian McClean and Chris Magro as the most dangerous threats to Aloysians&s; defence, La Salle slowly made their comeback. Once they took the lead, they maintained it with solid defending and clinical counter attacks. La Salle only conceded 5 goals in the second half thanks to the constant pressure of the defence and some excellent saves by Andrew Mifsud. On the attack, Chris Magro took the limelight as his goals from the left wing added pressure on Aloysians. His perseverance also cost Aloysians&s; Edward Bonello a red card midway in the second half. La Salle completed the victory with a great fast break by Ian Turban from a badly taken Aloysians&s; corner and a goal each from Andrew Said and Ramon Bondin.
