La Tigra Rainforest Lodge

La Tigra Rainforest Lodge is the result of the desire of our Business partners to protect the environment and share their love of nature with visitors. We are located just a couple miles outside of the small town of La Tigra, San Carlos, and about a 30 minute drive from the popular destinations of the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Town. The concept of the Lodge is different than others in that it consists of 10 tent cabins on raised platforms immersed in the magnificent tropical rainforest on the outskirts of the renowned Children's Eternal Rainforest, the largest private reserve in Central America. Much more than simple lodging services, we are an environmental conservation area, where each of our guests learns the importance of conservation. In addition, our project directly supports the San Jorge de la Roca Elementary School, located next to the property, we supply job opportunities for the community, and all wood and construction materials were removed from the property itself in a controlled felling planned for this purpose for over 20 years. These are just some of the reasons we are more than just a cute place to stay. At La Tigra Rainforest Lodge we provide the perfect atmosphere to enjoy your vacation and get in touch with nature amidst a tropical rainforest. You can help our re-foresting projects by planting your own tree in one of the designated areas on our 8.5 hectare land. More than just a symbolic act, this is a real plantation which aims to form part of a future biological corridor and provide the ideal habitat for countless species of plants and animals.
