Lattice Educational Services
Lattice Educational Services offers intensive programming in the afternoons for students with developmental disabilities who demonstrate the need for a structured afterschool program setting, the program operates Monday through Friday during the school year and for five weeks during the summer session and serves students between the ages of 5 and 22. The program is a collaborative project of the Lattice Educational Services and the North Bay Regional Center. This after-school program provides a positive, structured setting where students learn the skills they need in order to participate in group activities. The program offers intensive support to increase social interactions within a 1:2 staff: student ratio providing concentrated support to all participants. The Program's activity-oriented learning includes: Socialization and peer interaction through small group cooperative play Recreation, sports, and games to develop motor skills Constructive use of leisure time Instruction to encourage communication skill development Behavior management, including individualized intervention and the development of appropriate replacement behaviors Lattice, 2013
