Laurel, Nebraska is a peaceful farming community located in the Northeast region of the state. Home to nearly 1,000 residents, Laurel is a community full of active and dedicated citizens. The Laurel Industrial Park is rapidly developing as one business is open and another is in the construction phase. Recently, the Laurel-Concord School District partnered with the neighboring Coleridge School District to provide the students in both districts a better education. The high school has moved to a 'One-to-One' laptop program through a partnership with Apple Inc. The City and the Laurel-Concord School District have maintained a partnership through the Community Learning Center to provide a computer lab, distance learning facility, and a vast amount of educational resources to citizens and students. Further, the Community Fitness Center is a public exercise complex that provides exceptional equipment for high school athletes and community members alike.
