Although the automotive industry is fraught with production plants and gas-guzzling vehicles, Lexus is leading the way in creating environmentally sustainable technology. Lexus even practices sustainability in its central production center, the Motomachi facility located in Japan. In the Motomachi factory, combustible waste is broken down to generate electricity and steam, powering the facility on recycled materials. As a result, the factory produces significantly less environmentally detrimental exhaust gases than most production plants.
