Linenhall Chambers

Opened on St David's Day in 2011, Linenhall Chambers is a multi-discipline barristers' chambers designed to meet the needs and expectations of professional and lay clients for barrister services in the modern legal world. Based at 1 Stanley Place, LInenhall Chambers is situated close to the site of the former racecourse Stables in the historic area of the City of Chester, known as 'Linenhall'. Although we are a forward-thinking set who provide the most up-to-date in legal services and facilities, we represent over 60 years of legal expertise and our roots can be traced back to the first barristers Chambers ever established in Chester. Formed by the merger of the two largest barristers' Chambers established in Chester: Nicholas Street Chambers and 1 Stanley Place Chambers, Linenhall Chambers now has over 80 practitioners, including a number of leading Silks, who between them provide the highest quality service across a broad spectrum of specialist disciplines. Through a combination of well-established experience and expertise, together with a commitment towards flexibility and service, we aim to deliver a first class service to each individual client. We provide an advocacy and advisory service not only in crime, family and civil but also planning, licensing, personal injury, employment law, civil actions against the police, trading standards and chancery. Through its association with the Wales and Chester Circuit, Chambers has a long-established tradition of providing legal services in Wales and many of our members are fluent Welsh speakers who are able to provide services through the medium of Welsh. Linenhall Chambers is committed to the Bar Council's Practice Management Standards and Guidelines and to the requirements of the Quality Mark Standard for the Bar.
