Liberty Vegetable Oil
Based upon underlying values of quality, service and responsibility, Liberty Vegetable Oil Company was founded in 1948 by Isaac D. Sinaiko. Remaining true to those values for over 50 years, LVO remains family owned, managed and dedicated to the development of creative ideas and methods to meet the needs of its customers and suppliers alike. Commencing operations as a small expeller mill producing linseed oil and meal from California grown flaxseed, soybeans were added in the 1950's. During the later half of the 1960's, Irwin S. Field, the current chairman, refocused the company's long-term objectives toward the development and marketing of tree nut oils and other specialty oils. Crushing and refining capacity was expanded during the 1970's to accommodate custom processing which today is a significant part of the business. Current operations located on four acres of land include expeller processing and oil refining, including bleaching, winterizing and deodorizing capabilities. By combining the capability of its physical facilities with an experienced and capable staff Liberty Vegetable Oil is the world's premier producer and refiner of tree nut oils and other specialty triglyceride oils.
