LIFELINE MUSIC COALITION
In 2004, LMC was contracted to produce the first annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival and has been the music producer ever since. LMC has negotiated, contracted and handled every detail to bring the artists on stage, on time, on stage and on budget. We have enjoyed bringing hundreds of musicians to an audience of thousands. In addition to ALL THE PHILLY HEADLINERS, other artists have included: TEENA MARIE; ROY AYERS; WAR; AL JARREAU; GEORGE DUKE; BENNY GOLSON; ASHFORD AND SIMPSON; THE O'JAYS; THE MINGUS BIG BAND; DAVID SANBORN; ESPERANZA SPALDING; SUN RA ARKESTRA, DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND; PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM JAZZ ORCHESTRA; ODEAN POPE SAXOPHONE CHOIR AND many, many more over the last eight years. In addition to producing the West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival, LMC has produced events for Philadelphia Museum of Art, Multicultural Affairs Congress, Independence Visitors Center, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Corporation and more. The purpose of LifeLine Music Coalition, Inc. is to promote the knowledge, power, and influence of Philadelphia artists on jazz music and poetry in all its forms. Specifically, LifeLine Music Coalition, works to establish forums and opportunities for Philadelphia area musicians and poets to present their works. LifeLine Music Coalition will also provide opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration with worldwide community organizations and institutions.
