Little Bears Pre-School

Little Bears was founded out of love. Cindy Cromwell founded Little Bears in 1987, she wanted a place where children could feel loved while learning. Where parents could go to work with piece of mind that their child would be loved as if they were being cared for by Grandma for the day, and yet still be learning. A place where learning was extended outside of the classroom for young minds to explore. Being raised on a farm down the street from Little Bears, Cindy love to appreciate nature and wanted to share that love with children by purchasing a large track of land to start Little Bears. Over the past 25 years Little Bears has changed from a small remodeled farm house to five buildings designed to house each age group. But one thing has always stayed true, the love for children and learning. Many of our Little Bears children's parents attended Little Bears when they were small and remember the same loving staff members that are still at Little Bears today. Many of Little Bears graduates still stay in contact and have gone on to become many things, many are now, teachers, nurses, firemen, lawyers, police officers, doctors and even a drummer in a national band. Many stop by or email to reminisce about the good ole days at Little Bears and many are surprised to see a picture of themselves still on Mrs. Cindy's wall. Little Bears started out as just one woman's labor of love for children and grew into a large family of families caring for each generation to come. Little Bears is located on 6 acres in the heart of Bartlett on beautiful rolling land surrounded by trees that create a more private and scenic environment as well as supplies an abundant amount of shade for all the playgrounds. We have our own ball field, soccer field, basketball goals, sand boxes, and state of the art playground equipment. So we have lots of room to run and romp and play. Little Bears is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. We strive to provide enriching opportunities every day so students reach their full potential socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively within the learning environment. Our educational based curriculum focuses on literacy, math, science, social and emotional skills, and physical development. Classrooms are designed to inspire young learners, capturing each child's interests, ideas, and independence to encourage a growing awareness of self. We prepare students for on-going schools by continually monitoring their readiness for new learning challenges.
