Local Legends Apparel

In the spring of 2015, I designed my first tee for my mothers' gift shop, Sea Garden. The Honorary Islander tee was created with tourists and those who love the Island in mind and was instantly loved by many. I chose a soft, ring-spun tri-blend cotton for my first shirt and was so happy with the outcome. That winter, a friend approached me about creating an apparel company together and at the beginning of June 2016, we officially launched Local Legends Apparel with our Honorary Islander and Islander Through & Through shirts as our staple products. We started with a website and a couple markets, and by the end of August 2017, we had 7 retail partners, our online store, and had taken part in 6 community markets. My friend has since moved on and I've continued carrying the torch! I want to create clothing that you'll be happy to wear! My main goal with every design is to make you feel something. Whether it's a smile when you're getting dressed in the morning or a laugh with a friend when they read your shirt. I want to create quality, PEI-inspired clothing that Islanders and Honorary Islanders alike can be proud of. Though PEI is Canada's smallest province, we have a rich history of small business. Many items are inspired by those businesses; we want to give Islanders a unique way to remember the businesses that shaped this Island! Thank you for all of your support!
