Longmeier Printing & Advertising
Longmeier was established as a letter shop in 1904, and was called "Longmeier Direct Mail Service. Consisting of many women typing, mimeographing, and mailing business letters for local companies, our reputation grew as the premiere mailer in the area, and we still print and send millions of pieces of mail each year. In 1975, D.L. (Pete) Frueh purchased the company, and began to restructure the firm as a high quality multi-color advertising provider. His 30 years of experience with Commercial Lithograph in Lima had allowed him to build a sizable client list, and some of our largest clients are ones we have serviced for over 40 years. We have seen the industry change from hot lead type, lithography and offset printing - to desktop publishing, digital printing, and Direct Impression technology. Projects that used to take weeks flow through our modern shop in the one day, but the attention to detail remains the same.
