Through a Growth Mindset approach, we promote a can do attitude to learning, with guided pathways into further and higher education and ultimately, to the career that they want to pursue. In a rapidly changing society, we believe it is essential to equip our students with the right skills, knowledge and experiences, preparing them for the world of work. We are frequently praised for our very positive ethos. Our students are well behaved and are enabled to concentrate on their studies and to achieve more. They are proud of our academy and feel safe and supported here. Our stu dents are an asset to the school and very much valued as individuals. They are smart, polite, caring and respectful of their teachers and others. We very much encourage this culture at LHA and our students' positive attitude to learning. All of our teaching staff are well qualified and experienced practitioners who fully support our guiding principles and help to engender this culture of mutual respect guiding students towards success. We offer a broad and rich curriculum but we don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach for education. Personalised learning lies at the heart of what we do and all students are encouraged and supported to achieve their personal best. Through this guiding and nurturing approach and a combination of high expectation and personal support, all students are encouraged to achieve academic excellence. We understand how important it is to relate our students' education to further and higher education and have strong links with colleges and universities. Beyond this we forge links with the world of work through our membership of Business in the Community (BITC) to signpost pathways into future careers and to give students the best chance to succeed in their chosen career.
