LOTS Shipping Limited is now the biggest barge operator in the National Waterway 3 in Kerala offering a diversified fleet with the ability to carry varied cargo. The Company has emerged as a key provider of barging services along the West Coast of India and has successfully transported over several million tons of cargo. In Kerala, the Company has contracts with FACT, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and South India Corporation Limited. Besides Kerala, LOTS Shipping has operations in, Jamnagar (Gujarat) and Kolkata Nagapattinam (Tamil Nadu). The company has undertaken and accomplished several projects. One of them has been the complete transport from the manufacturer to the work site the pipes required for the single point mooring project for KRL - BPCL. This involved the transportation of 1652 cement coated 48" diameter pipes each weighing about 26 T from Mundhra Port in Gujarat to Kochi, discharge from ship, transport and storage at yards and finally the last mile delivery to the pipe laying barge of the principal contractors M/s Leighton India Private Limited. The project was accomplished successfully to the deadlines given by the principal contractors. In 2009, Master Shipyard Private Limited built a 800 DWT Dumb Barge in 75 days for MHTC Logistics Limited, Mumbai. With this barge LOTS Shipping Limited transported 800 MT VGO Reactor for Kochi Refineries Limited (The largest Over Dimentional Cargo transported in Kochi through National Waterway - 3) from Cochin Port and through Champakkara Canal covering a distance of 25 kms passing under 25 low & narrow bridge spans for its onward transportation by road. This project was also accomplished sucessfully meeting the deadline of the principal contractor. LOTS Shipping Limited is a ISO 9001-2000 accredited. The company has also received the SMERA (Small & Medium enterprise Rating Agency) rating with the international rating agency Dun & Bradstreet.
