We are so glad you stopped by! Our passion is paper and correspondence, and that passion is the core of Ply. At Ply you can expect to experience true expertise, a specialized destination and a sense of luxury. We know that Ply is not the only place around to buy stationery and wedding invitations, but we believe it is the best. Our secret is our size. We are not some big trinket "boutique" that happens to sell wedding invitations in the back. No, we are a small, specialized destination for stationery and wedding invitations. This "smallness" is important to us. We don't sell candles, children's clothing, furniture, jewelry, photo frames (etc.) in addition to stationery. We're not spread thin by having to know about all of those things. We know about paper. We are experts in paper. And that's a competitive advantage that we are very proud of! When you make an appointment to look at wedding invitations you have our undivided attention and we are armed with the knowledge to help you make the best buying decisions you can. The term "luxury" is so overused, especially in the wedding industry, that it often loses its meaning. Luxury, and the state of great comfort that it defines, is not just a catchphrase at Ply. Luxury is at the core of Ply's mission. At Ply we treat customers who purchase a greeting card with the same attention as customers who purchase wedding invitations. Ply customers can take comfort in the clutter-free and gracious environment inhabited by experts. Ply is not about clutter, but instead represents the best in stationery and wedding invitations. It is not our guest's job to sift through clutter to find the best. That is our job. And we do it with pleasure and passion! I have the great privilege of owning and operating Ply. It is a dream come true and I can't wait to meet you and show you why! In the meantime, here is more about me: -My parents are my biggest heroes and my husband is my best friend. -I have 3 beautiful dogs. -One of my very first jobs was in a print shop, and to this day seeing jobs being printed is a great high for me. -I moved to Chapel Hill more than a decade ago for college and fell in love. I love its small-town atmosphere, its socially progressive history, and how the university keeps it young and fresh. -I love Dolly Parton and Jay-Z equally. I also listen to Christmas music year-round. -Outside of studio hours you can find me walking or running around town, making friends with the fellas at my local corner store, or watching Emma for the millionth time on Netflix. -While I sometimes describe myself as shy, I usually discover a kindred spirit in almost everyone I meet. Ply is located at 157 East Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill, just above the Krispy Kreme. Our location is important to us because we believe that downtowns define towns. Downtowns are important to this country, and there's no place we'd rather be. While we are in the studio every Tuesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment or calling before arriving. Parking and entry are just more convenient that way and we want you to have the best Ply experience possible! If you're not from the area, we recommend making an appointment and making a day of it! Downtown Chapel Hill and neighboring Carrboro are such special places with amazing dining, entertainment and shopping within walking distance.
