The company's shareholders are Terengganu Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. (TISB) holding 43% interest, Ketengah Holding Sdn. Bhd. 38% and the Ladang - Ladang Terengganu Sdn. Bhd. (KLLTSB) by 19%. The Company has two subsidiaries, which is engaged in the processing of oil palm products with an interest of 58% and a recreational resort, Cheneh Recreation & Resort Sdn. Bhd. (CRRSB) with 100% interest. The main activities of LRTSB are palm oil plantation, palm oil processing, plantation management agents, and downstream activities such as sale of oil palm seedlings and integrated livestock. At the beginning of the establishment, LRTSB has developed an oil palm plantation project over an area of 5,663 hectares in Mukim of Bandi, Tebak, and Banggol. In addition to profitability, the company also aims to assist Terengganu State Government in eradicating poverty among Terengganu residents by providing employment opportunities of 1400 to date, as well as improving skills and knowledge in agriculture to the local community. LRTSB continues to flourish by opening new areas making up to 12,047 hectares covering Kemaman, Dungun, Marang, Setiu and Kuala Terengganu. A total of 8,988 hectares is owned by LRTSB and the remaining 3,059 hectares are owned by the Terengganu Amanah Warisan Negeri Terengganu which is jointly undertaken. LRTSB also took the opportunity to build a palm oil mill in April 2007 and started operating in August 2008 at KM 3, Jalan Cherul, Bandar Ceneh Baharu, Kemaman, Terengganu. The plant has a processing capacity of 55 Mt/Hour. In addition to its main activities, LRTSB also conducts downstream activities such as integrated livestock breeding and seedlings. Currently, LRTSB has 2,000 head of cattles. LRTSB has also embarked on a village poultry farm project using MARDI technology from 2014 with a total of 4,000 chickens. Todate, a total of 10,000 chickens have been reared. The business strategy plan for the period 2018 to 2020 is provided with the ultimate goal of maximizing profits through increased productivity and minimizing costs. In line with that, the Ladang Rakyat Trengganu will implement a replanting program of 307 hectares in 2019 and the company is expected to continue to grow with the aim of opening a new area with an area of 1,500 hectares of oil palm cultivation by 2020.
